My Pool Repairs
That little metal thingy you might overlook? It’s called a sacrificial anode, and it quietly works to protect your pool heater’s copper tubing from corrosion.
Here’s how it works: the anode intentionally corrodes first, “sacrificing” itself so the important (and expensive) parts of your heater stay safe. This process, called cathodic protection, is also used on boats, pipelines, and water heaters.
Pro Tip: Check your sacrificial anode occasionally—if it’s mostly gone, it’s time to replace it! Skipping this simple step can lead to costly heater damage.
We can inspect, replace, and make sure your heater is protected for the long run.
