✅Don’t drain your pool – Keeping water in helps balance hydrostatic pressure and prevents your pool from “floating” out of the ground.
✅Turn off power to pool equipment – Protect pumps, heaters, and electronics from surges or flooding.
✅Remove loose items – Patio furniture, toys, and accessories can become dangerous projectiles.
✅Balance your water chemistry – Shock your pool and adjust levels to help combat contaminants that may enter with stormwater.
✅Secure the pool area – If possible, cover your pool and double-check that gates, screens, and fencing are stable.

After the storm passes, give your pool a thorough cleaning, check your filter system, and rebalance the water.
