With storms and heavy rains passing through Central Florida, it’s important to give your pool some post-storm care to keep it clean, balanced, and safe to swim in.

Here are some quick tips from My Pool Repairs:

✅Remove debris – Clear out leaves, branches, and dirt as soon as possible to prevent stains and clogged filters.
✅Check your water level – Heavy rain can dilute your pool chemicals or cause overflow. Drain excess water if needed.
✅Test and rebalance chemicals – Rainwater lowers chlorine and changes pH levels. Adjust chlorine, alkalinity, and stabilizer to proper ranges.
✅Clean filters and skimmers – They work overtime after storms; make sure they’re not blocked or overworked.
✅Run your pump longer – Keep the water circulating for at least 24 hours to restore clarity and sanitation.
✅Inspect for equipment issues – Flooding can damage electrical components or pumps. If something looks off — call a professional.
