Back in 2015, while heading to work on a customer’s pool, we were greeted by a very unexpected guest—this young alligator casually hanging out at the front door like it owned the place.
Maybe it saw the “Welcome Home” mat and took it literally!
In Florida, encounters like this remind us that we share our neighborhoods with amazing wildlife. Young alligators usually stay close to water and their mothers for protection, but curious ones like this might wander off. If you ever find one at your doorstep, it’s best to give them space and call the proper wildlife authorities.
