My Pool Repairs
Throwback to last year when we found an unexpected swimmer in a client’s pool—a Southern Water Snake (non-venomous and totally misunderstood)!
Instead of causing a splashy scene, we gently scooped this little critter out and relocated it safely nearby. It’s all in a day’s work at My Pool Repairs—because we care about every part of your pool… even the surprise visitors.
Did You Know?
- The Southern Water Snake (Nerodia fasciata) is commonly found around lakes, ponds, marshes, and—yep—sometimes backyard pools in Florida.
- While they may look similar to venomous cottonmouths, these snakes are non-venomous and beneficial for controlling pests like frogs and fish.
- They’re excellent swimmers and prefer to avoid people when given the chance.
We’re big believers in clean pools and kind rescues. Because sometimes, all you need is a ladder out—or a net and a little patience.
