Florida heat is no joke—and neither is what it can do to your pool! On extra hot days, your pool water evaporates faster, chemicals break down quicker, and algae finds the perfect conditions to bloom. Here’s how to keep your pool in top shape during extreme heat:

✅Check your water levels daily – Evaporation can cause your water line to drop, which could lead to your pump running dry (a costly mistake!).
✅Test and balance chemicals more often – UV rays weaken chlorine, so test at least every other day during a heat wave.
✅Shock weekly (or more) – This keeps algae at bay and neutralizes extra contaminants like sweat, sunscreen, and body oils.
✅Run your pump longer – Aim for 10–12 hours a day to keep circulation strong and water cool.
✅Keep an eye on calcium levels – High heat can lead to scaling or cloudiness if your calcium hardness isn’t right.
