Washing your pool filter on a regular schedule can help with many things, including:

1⃣ Keeping your pool clear and swim-ready by removing additional debris that can accumulate in your water
2⃣ Minimize pressure loss which can negatively impact the function of your pool system
3⃣ Maximize flow to allow for optimal performance from other pieces of equipment. This is especially true with pool heaters! A dirty filter cartridge is one of the top contributing factors to a heater not heating.
4⃣ Extend the life of your filter cartridge. Replacement cartridges can be costly – washing your regularly can decrease the frequency of a replacement being needed – saving you money!
